Casting news (foilers or otherwise) continued to leak out this past week. Michael Ausiello gave up a spoiler allegedly about the episode directed by Jensen Ackles: “I hear the show’s fourth episode back – the one directed by Jensen Ackles – will be Bobby-centric and feature a character named Marcy Ward. Described as attractive in a down-to-earth/woman-next-door way, Marcy is a capable homemaker with a crush on her neighbor.” A fly in the ointment is that Ackles has already confirmed that he’s directing episode 5.03 not 5.04. SpoilerTV is reporting that the title of this episode is “Weekend at Bobby’s”.
Brit genre magazine SFX, in its latest issue (#198), is reporting a mini-interview with Eric Kripke, Sera Gamble and the other writers, in which they claim that Crowley will be in a lot of season six (perhaps as the season’s Big Bad?). There’s also talk of bringing back Death the Horseman, the Trickster, and Ellen and Jo (as ghosts). Chuck, however, will apparently not show up, nor will there be any explanation of his mysterious vanishing act at the end of “Swan Song”. Just as well. I’m feeling tortured enough by that “summer” promo with the Chuck voiceover on the CW site.
IT’S BOBBY’S WIFE! — Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate Bobby’s home town where the dead are rising from the grave but instead of attacking humans, they are happily reuniting with their families. The brothers turn to Bobby (Jim Beaver) for help but he tells them not to worry about it and to leave town. Suspicious, Dean investigates and comes face to face with Bobby’s dead wife (guest star Carrie Anne Fleming) who has no memory of what happened to her. Once the zombies start turning evil, the boys tell Bobby he has to kill his wife but he refuses. Posted on SPNsite/KSiteTV. John Showalter directed the episode written by Jeremy Carver (#516).

FAIRY TALES DO COME TRUE — Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate a series of odd murders that strangely resemble fairytales and urban legends. The brothers track down an 11-year-old boy named Jesse (guest star Gattlin Griffith) and realize that whatever Jesse believes is coming true. Castiel (Misha Collins) tells Sam and Dean that Jesse is a serious threat and needs to be eliminated.
Charles Beeson directed the episode written by Andrew Dabb & Daniel Loflin.
To what extent Alastair has something to do with Dean’s life is revealed in the new sneak peek released by The CW. Next week on “Supernatural“, Dean is sent by Castiel and Uriel to use his torturing skill he learned in Hell to extract information from Alastair but the demon reveals some shocking revelations that shatter Dean’s world.
In “On the Head of a Pin“, someone found Lucifer’s sword and is using it to kill angels. Castiel and Uriel have captured Alastair and ask Dean to question him so they can stop the murders. Sam is concerned Dean can’t handle the job but Dean agrees to do it. However, Alastair revealed that he had done something to Dean’s father in the past.
“On the Head of a Pin” airs March 19.
A small town advertises their commodity, a wishing well that really works, in the new “Supernatural“. When a young girl’s teddy bear comes to life, Sam and Dean discover that the town’s wishing well really works, blurring the line between reality and fantasy.
Wes, a nerdy bachelor who was previously ignored by women, now has a beautiful girlfriend named Hope who is completely in love and enamored by him after he made the wish in the well. Hope seems to enjoy doing every task for Wes and he was consequently reluctant to give up the prize when confronted with the truth.
Since everyone can put their wish simply by throwing a coin, the town becomes chaotic and the brothers have to stop this from getting worse.
The episode is called “Wishful Thinking” and aired on November 6 on The CW.
